Politician letter
The following is suggested wording for a letter you may wish to send to your Federal government representative in support of the Hands Off MY Net campaign. Replace the wording in square [ ] brackets with information appropriate to your federal representative.

Dear [Name of federal member]:
As a constituent of [riding/district name], I urge you strongly not to support any initiative or legislation that would result in the filtering or censoring of the Internet content made available to me via my internet service provider.
I believe that allowing Governments and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to filter Internet access facilitates censorship on an unprecedented scale and threatens the fundamental human right to freedom of opinion and expression as declared under Article 19 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
I believe that those who ultimately pay for the Internet — the subscribers — have a right and an obligation to decide, for themselves and for those who use the Internet access they pay for, what information and services will be available in the homes, businesses and institutional environments for which they are responsible.
I have resolved to vote, in future elections, only for candidates who oppose filtering or censoring of my Internet access.
Thank you for your attention to this request.
